Pensioners, Rebates & Funding

You are eligible for the voucher component of the program if you are an Australian citizen or permanent resident 21 years or older and you:

• Pensioner concession card holder
• Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card holder
• Department of Veterans’ Affairs White Card holder
• Dependent of a person in one of the above categories
• Member of the Australian Defence Force
• Referred by the Disability Employment Services (Disability Management Services)
• Please note that a Seniors Health Card does not provide eligibility for the program.

If you are a young adult aged 21 to 25 (inclusive) you can choose to receive services through either the Voucher Program (if you meet one of the eligibility criteria listed above) or through the CSO Program (details below).

You can apply for the Australian Government Hearing Services Program (the program) online. In most cases your online application will take a few minutes to complete and you will be told if you are eligible once you have submitted your application. If you are eligible, you will be sent a welcome pack to the program.
If you are unable to apply online you can apply by either:

• Visiting a hearing services provider who can help you apply for the program.
• Downloading the paper application form or
• Or phone 1800 500 726 and an application form can be emailed or posted to you.

• Advice and support about hearing loss
• if indicated, the fitting of fully subsidised or partially subsidised device/s’ and we need to add the below sentence ‘conditions apply under the Australian Government Hearing Services Program.
